The Empower Migrants’ Communication Activities, held on 1–2 October 2024 at the Heraklion Development Agency, brought together migrants and media experts for an intensive, locally rooted workshop series. Co-developed with migrant communities and tailored to the specific needs of the local context, the workshops aimed to strengthen participants’ communication capacities and media engagement skills. Through practical sessions and collaborative learning, participants explored diverse media formats such as podcasts, videocasts, social media content creation, and strategies for effective public presence. The initiative provided a supportive space for migrants to build their confidence, develop their own narratives, and gain the tools needed to participate more actively and visibly in the public sphere.
