Symbiosis provided support and resources to the residents of the Thessaloniki Reception Centre for Refugees and Asylum Seekers, including food, clothes, children’s toys and educational materials, first aid materials, cleaning materials, and aid to the newborns. Under the escalating crisis, central and local government services providers, as well as several organisations, seemed to ignore such protective structure and, thus, leaving them to survive only with their own powers, whilst collective and individual fundamental rights were diminished.
